چکیده

Abstract Hyperthermia therapy is a promising for liver cancer treatment that utilizes external electromagnetic waves to heat the tumor zone preferentially kill or minimize cells. Nevertheless, it’s challenge realize localized heating of tissue without harming surrounding healthy tissue. This research proposes utilize nanoparticles as microwave absorbers enhance imaging and achieve hyperthermia therapy. A realistic 3D abdomen model has been segmented using Slicer segmentation software, then obtained CAD exported Computer Simulation Technology (CST STUDIO) applying Finite Element Modeling (FEM). Next investigating both capability. Finally, specific absorption rate (SAR) temperature distribution were computed with different types such gold (GNPs) silver at frequency 915 MHz. By comparing achived results, it was seen Silver can make great enhancement in raising temperature. However, this result unsatisfactory but, after adding exceed 42°C, MHz which achieving nearby tissue, GNPs also SAR

Microwave Imaging Using SAR

Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (Pol.-SAR) allows us to implement the recognition and classification of radar targets. This article investigates the arrangement of scatterers by SAR data and proposes a new Look-up Table of Region (LTR). This look-up table is based on the combination of (entropy H/Anisotropy A) and (Anisotropy A/scattering mechanism α), which has not been reported up now. ...

An investigation of the effect of hyperthermia using iron and magnetic nanoparticles in cancer treatment

Introduction: hyperthermia using different methods such as microwave and magnetic waves is one of the methods to treat cancer. In this method, iron and magnetic nanoparticles are used to increase the temperature and increase the effect of hyperthermia as auxiliary treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In this study, the role of iron and magnetic nanoparticles have been ...

Title : Microwave tomographic imaging for breast cancer

Microwave imaging has received a great amount of interest in last few decades in view of biomedical applications such as breast tumor detection. The potential advantages of microwave imaging as an alternative to X ray Computed Tomography (CT) are: i) the non negligible contrast that exists between the dielectric properties of normal and malignant breast tissues, ii) the non-ionizing nature of m...

Active Microwave Imaging for Breast Cancer Detection

Active microwave imaging is explored as an imaging modality for early detection of breast cancer. When exposed to microwaves, breast tumor exhibits electrical properties that are significantly different from that of healthy breast tissues. The two approaches of active microwave imaging — confocal microwave technique with measured reflected signals and microwave tomographic imaging with measured...

Conformal Microwave Imaging for Breast Cancer Detection

An important feature of our Gauss–Newton iterative scheme for microwave breast image reconstruction is that only the heterogeneous target zone within the antenna array is represented using the finite-element method, while the surrounding homogeneous coupling medium is modeled with the boundary-element (BE) method. The interface between these two zones may be arbitrary in shape and position with...
